The first ever WYEP Holiday Shoppe takes place at The WYEP Community Broadcast Center this November.
Buy wares from local crafters (part of all profits go to support WYEP). Station merchandise and music from artists featured in the WYEP 2009 Year in Review will also be available for sale. And, no holiday shoppe is complete without baked goods!
There is no admission fee, stop by and get a start on your holiday shopping at WYEP this November 29.

we are a group of 50+ members working to create a strong and vibrant
craft community through social and resource networking, education and
workshops, and information sharing.

the pittsburgh craft collective will work each year to raise money for a charity in conjunction with this event. this year’s show will benefit [ gravity + grace ] and the parkinson foundation of western pennsylvania (PFWPA).
[ gravity + grace ],
a contemporary opera written by frank ferraro, reveals his struggles
with parkinson’s disease and will premier sept 25th at the hillman center for performing arts.
all net proceeds of [ gravity + grace ] will be used to support the PFWPA programs and services for people with parkinson disease, their families and caregivers.

This
year, this new tradition continues with the second Art What You Got
festival, on Sunday, July 19th from noon to 8 pm. Attractions will
include an artist’s market for vendors selling their own artwork and
craft items; food including traditional Polish favorites like kielbasa
and pierogies, as well as traditional American items such as
hamburgers; musical performances, hands-on art activities, and
demonstrations. And we are determined that it will not rain this year.

40+ local craftspeople come together to celebrate the American Jewish Museum's current exhibit, Nests, and to offer hand-made objects for your own nest.
The Whitehall Public Library's 3rd Annual Art Show Sunday, April 26, 2009 1:00 - 4:00 P.M South Hills Country Club
The club will host 37 artists and fine craftsman that will be selling their art. There will be a wide variety of art and quality crafts for sale. A few of the artist mediums include: watercolor and oil paintings, photography, handmade organic embossed paper, jewelry, ceramics, pottery, fiber arts, sketches, glass and metal, just to name a few.
In addition, there will be a Chinese auction as well as a bidding auction on a 2 day tour of Washington D.C. that was donated by Senator Arlen Specter. This tour will include a tour of the Capitol Building, Senate Gallery, Kennedy Center, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The tour package also will include dinner reservations at the Senator's Only Dining Room. The auction items are currently on display at the Whitehall Public Library. Stop in to buy some tickets and place a bid on this wonderful event!

I Made It! Market joins with the Union Project on SATURDAY April 4 12 - 5 pm ....to bring you a Marketplace filled with 50+ local artists and craftspeople selling handmade few-of-a-kind wares, indie crafts and more.
Pick up lunch and coffee at the Union Project's cafe and make an afternoon of it! The Union Project is located at the corners of N. Negley and Stanton Avenues in Highland Park.
